While in school I completed over 600 clinical hours. I earned a proficiency in treating periodontal disease, prevention and oral health education. Skills learned include digital radiography, Diagnodent, VELscope, Lasers and Dentrix.

As a dental assisting student I earned a national dental radiology license and worked after school hours assisting a dentist for those who were unable to afford dental work.

About Me
Hello! My name is Emily Anderson your friendly dental hygienist. I have a passion for oral hygiene and helping others reach their full potential. I have created this blog to help you, wherever you may be on the scale of oral hygiene, to better your personal health. I will post to my blog tips, tricks and facts to help you understand what might be best for you and your personal oral hygiene. My goal is to help you have the healthiest and brightest smile you can keep for years to come.

Work Experience
I work currently as an orthodontic land technicians assistant. I sort and analyze dental impressions based on accuracy made from people at home. I then trim and detail the models in preparations for clear retainers.

2013 - 2014
I worked for a Dental Staffing agency as a Dental Assistant providing proficient dental assisting to multiple companies in a specific region, I planned and recorded procedures and details using Dentrix. I assisted dentists in performing extractions, filings, root canal therapy and crown preparation. Exhibiting excellent patient care and contributing to the organization and efficient of each office.
For 18 months I served a a full time volunteer in Berlin, Germany leading other volunteers to increase proficiency in the german language. I worked to meet deadlines and goals with specific individuals. I communicated and taught effectively the purpose of our work to those interested. I obtained fluent professional proficiency in German.
